It all came as rather a big shock. GDPR compliance that is

I thought I was doing OK, I don't give out any data to anyone, don't leave my computer or memory stick on trains.

Then I spoke to a complete an utter GDPR expert.

But then nobody else does either.

But the realisation that the Data Protection Act wasn't a patch on what the GDPR will be struck me.  

Yes, I look after people's data - whether it is contacts I was dealing with in general business life, or processing the data on behalf of clients when sorting out their CRM database systems.

The GDPR is all about protecting people.  Nothing wrong with that is there.

But then I started to realise what I had to do under the new to comply with the GDPR.
