As I find and implement CRM databases, set up processes and cleans and combine data for my clients I thought it might be a good idea to follow my own GDPR compliance journey.
Now, we can probably all admit that news about the GDPR isn't exactly new. The ICO have been going on about it for a fair few years now.
But when, really did we all really start hearing about the GDPR and what we all need to do to comply with it?
Was it the Queen's speech?
Was it Honda getting a fine?
Let me remind you if you didn't hear about it... Honda got fined for sending an email to all the contacts on it's database - which is all good so far, asking them check the details they had. But then finishing off the email with an offer ...
